Some of Japan's Most Annoying Commercials

By Dr. Eleanor Vance | Published on January 01, 0001

Japanese television commercials can get rather creative. Some of them (like this) are moving. Others are สล็อตฟรี downright odd. But often in the West, you get a look at the interesting, cool, or peculiar Japanese สล็อตฟรี commercials. What about the annoying ones? https://kotaku.com/these-japanese-commercials-will-delight-and-amuse-you-5962453 According to 2ch, Japan’s largest web forum, here are some of more irritating Japanese commercials from the last year or so. Keep in mind that just because someone else finds these ads annoying, that สล็อตฟรี doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy them! One person’s pain is another’s pleasure.cnx.cmd.push(function(){cnx({"playerId":"e3616d04-4972-4839-a63a-c6975e2e9731","settings":{"advertising":{"macros":{"AD_UNIT":"/23178111854/od.kotaku.com/article","CHILD_UNIT":"article","POST_ID":"715950804","POST_TYPE":"post","CHANNEL":"uncategorized","SECTION":"","SUBSECTION":"","CATEGORIES":"uncategorized","TAGS":"","NOP":"0"},"timeBeforeFirstAd":0}}}).render("cnx-player-main")}); “Opa” is the name of a shopping center in Osaka. Maruhan is a pachinko chain. This ad is unforgettable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyL3_EGruQ8 This is for the Ameba social gaming platform. This ad is pretty freakin’ irritating! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tuc3ke5oBg The ad features the child actors of Kodomo Keisatsu (or “Kiddy Cops”), which starred children in a 1970s style police drama. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Xp7b7b0zcQ This commercial is Hikkoshi Zamurai, an online search engine for movers. The text tells you to pick the right mover. Lots of people online, however, were amused by this commercial. I thought it was funny! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khIXw7X8mJU The commercial is titled “Globalization”, and the group of Japanese businessmen are supposed สล็อตฟรี to use English when they go into battle—which ends up being very basic expressions. People seem to find the song and the kid’s movements a bit much. This series of ads are based around a pun with the ทดลองเล่นสล็อตฟรี word “yoyuu” (余裕) and the model who stars in the spot, Yu Yamada. The other ads, however, don’t have this channel-changing-inducing singing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=500ORW_WDh8 This is for chewing gum. The vast majority of people online in Japan seem to think it’s pretty damn creepy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_I4Msmq3Lg And while this spot is a little older, no round-up of annoying Japanese ads is complete without it. 今年の不快CM [2ch] To contact the author of this post, write to bashcraftATkotaku.com or find him on Twitter @Brian_Ashcraft Kotaku East is your slice of Asian internet culture, bringing you the latest talking points from Japan, Korea, China and beyond. Every spin feels like an adventure, and the graphics and sound effects are top-notch, making the experience immersive and exciting.
